So yeah, if you have been in contact or actually got a job through ESL park what did you think then and what do you think now?

Recruiting agencies have names? Who cares? Blanket every single one of them with your resume and then pick and choose what comes along. They all want you on a plane so they can get paid. Despite any mention of post-placement service, your connection to your recruiter generally ends the minute they get paid.

Also, recruiters here don't work for you, they work for the paying institute. Translate: they won't work to get you more money for better qualifications. That said, if you have any qualifications, why the hell would you need a recruiter or to work for a crapwon?

Use them all. They'll use you.

There are a few recruiters who do actually follow up on you. Not many. If you are looking for one who will help you out as much as possible, I recommend asknow. Again, they are a recruiter, so the school is the one paying them.

Good jobs... bad jobs... shades of gray...

Fine, so also send them one of your resumes. There is still no reason to work through only one recruiter. In fact, it is a losing strategy.

I wanted to say, my experience with them was very poor! Different recruiters, I am sure are different, but the recruiter I worked with was just bad.

I understand how recruiters work and I was basically just a sales figure. However, my recruiter was aggressive, rude and pushy! I told her, I was working with other recruiters and she changed her tone. I'm not sure if she lied to me or did not know how to communicate with the schools. The only time she would e-mail me back is when she wanted something. I could never get her to respond to me when I had important question, I understand you work with other people, but on subject line I had important! She also blew up my phone to ask me a dumb question. She called me 16 times in one hour from 2AM to 3AM. She also blamed me because my FBI background check had yet to come in, because I have control over that.

If you have any questions, feel free to msg me. Overall, I don't recommend anyone using ELS Park!

What was their name? I started talking to someone from that company just now. Would you say they're legit? I'm trying to find reviews on them, but I'm not finding a whole lot. Thanks!

This thread was from 2008. And I must have been in a crap mood that day lol. I'm a kinder, gentler PR now.

Or "laid" as it were. I have a colleague who swears that their first job at a hagwon in Korea came through a recruiter who: met them at the airport, transported them to their place of employment, showed them around, took them out for dinner and drinks, then let them into their apartment, and finally gave them a proper screwing, before leaving into the ether, never to be heard from or seen again.

Very similar story here, wasn't on the first day, but the first weekend. Don't think we work together though.

Well since it's out, I had almost the same experience. Except, I took the bus from Incheon into Seoul. My recruiter kept in touch with me for about 6 months. Met her at her company office several times. She made sure I was doing fine and dandy.
