found a friendly new neighborhood bar with delish pizza in the mangwon neighborhood and want to give it reps.
8 inch pizza on homemade dough from 6-8000 won and lots of beer specials. they also have other pasta and anju specials, but didn't try them.
just went their last night and had a good time. definitely recommend it.
the owner went to culinary school in NY and is genuinely a nice guy. he will go out of his way for special requests for topping combinations and crust crispiness.
it's called venetian salon near mangwon station. exact address is sungsan-dong 19-5 if you wanna naver map it.

Please tell me he makes his own sauce and actually places some on the pie!
One thing that drives me bonkers about the 'pizza' in Korea is that there's no freakin sauce on it!
Might look up the joint next time we're in the hapjeong area. What subway stop? Main road? |

Recently rang Papa John's for a delivery recently. Firmly insisted that there be a substantial amount of sauce on it. In response, we were asked if we were really OK with this, as we might find it to be too..........salty.........
(The pie was pretty much the best one I've had here in years from a franchise) |
