I like the way the article starts by complaining about muddled and unwinnable arguments...and then goes on to make a muddled and unwinnable argument by throwing German names at the wall (maybe hoping/assuming the reader has never heard of or read the works of these philosophers). Some of it somewhat sticks if you look at it the right way, but most of it is a dog's dinner of an article.

It comes out near the end with the cracking line "would today's Chinese Communist Party disagree?"
