True story - I had a shower last night and foolishly, I stuck a cotton ear bud way too deep into my right ear. Suddenly, I felt deaf there. Slight panic ensues.

I went to the local pharmacy and tried some eardrops. This morning, no improvement, I did an online search on this and decided to visit a hospital, in case some of the cotton from the bud was trapped in my ear.

A doctor peers into the ear using a light and sure enough, some of the cotton bud is stuck inside.

Using tweezers, they took out the cotton and now I am back to normal. Huge sigh of relief. Smile

From now on, I will only use tissues to clean my ears.

All you'll ever need to deep-clean your ears: http://cdn.shopmedvet.com/images/uploads/12613_8509_large.jpg

Costs maybe $5 in any western drugstore, lasts a lifetime, totally safe & totally effective.

Maybe he made a typo and it was supposed to be "cotton bug". He might have a boll weevil in his ear. Shocked

PS: Just for schwa: "Hi to your post too." Laughing
