How are you with rural Korea?
They have nice pottery and hot-springs.

I've met a few people who have worked there, as well as a few that have studied there. Assuming you've seen the job ad, you can expect to get exactly what it says, bearing in mind that you'll be a part of military bureaucracy. The students should be fun to work with as they'll have interesting backgrounds and interesting assignments in the future, although you can expect them to be a bit conservative.
It's hard work, based on the hours and vacation time, but it's good experience and can be an interesting way to learn about related fields if you have some interest.
