Does anybody know if you can transfer your E2 visa on the last day of the contract with your old school? For example, my contract ends on February 29th and is it possible to go to immigration on that day and get it transfered to the new school. I don't think it's possible but I thought I would see if anybody has had this experience. |

IF you have all the required paperwork ready then yes, it is possible (Feb 29 is a Monday).
The transfer process takes about 30 minutes (after you get to the counter) and is simply a notation on the back of your ARC, paperwork added to your file and computer record updated.
passport
ARC
New contract
new employer's business registration
application
fees

Thanks ttompatz. Of course, I need my old school to give me the Certificate of Employment, I believe it's called.
