Looking to find out how the pension refund works?
I am interested in applying to receive a lump sum payment of my pension, and I saw that there is an option to receive payment at the airport on the day of your departure.
Does anyone have experience with this?
I am trying to budget for a trip to Thailand and would like to account for this lump sum pension refund.
Thanks!!
ALSO: I am wondering about the law regarding flight reimbursement if I break my contract early.
My contract says this: C. In case the Employer terminate the contract for cause and in case of early termination by the Employee, the Employee shall pay back the Employer the total amount of the air ticket or the actual amount for the VISA trip to Japan, in the case of an in-country hiring.
I have heard that there is a 6 month rule...if you break it after 6 months you dont have to reimburse the flight...is this true? Or will I have to honor my contract and repay the flight no matter when I break the contract?
Any input would be appreciated. |

Pension... make sure your employer is actually paying in. Most hagwon employees are NOT in the NPS.
Airfare is strictly a contractual matter and is NOT covered under labor law, not regulated and if you quit early subject to the whims of your employer's interpretation of your contract.
You can fight it out in court as a civil action but the amount you might win is usually less than the court costs.
