Not sure about work conditions but academically it is probably the 2nd best (non STEM focused) university in Korea. It actually ranks internationally in the top 200 on a few major Higher Education rating systems (unlike 2 of the K and Y in sky).
What you do need to know is that its other name is Samsung University, it is literally by and large owned and run by Samsung. I have no idea what the place is like to work at I just know what it is from a students perspective when my brother in law was deciding on his schools to try to get into a few years ago. |

| It's considered one of the better Korean universities. They have been talked about in some American science journals. However, they have some extremely good looking women on campus there. If you are committed to your work, then it shouldn't be a distraction. If you don't care, then by all means, sign the contract. Don't say I didn't warn you. |

| The campus in Suwon is small, but very nice. I live across a small lake from the campus. In 2014, the first year of the KT Wiz baseball team, they used the practice ball fields of this campus to play their "at home" games before their new stadium was completed. The Suwon campus is on the Seoul Subway line 1, about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Seoul Station. The only foreigners I've ever seen at the campus are folks from the Middle East, most likely at the campus doing research or working on Masters. I've never seen anyone that would be an English Language Professor, though I'd imagine there could be some. They just finished their spring festival, which features KPOP concerts every night for a week. |

There are 16 English Instructors on the Suwon campus, most of whom live within walking distance of the campus. Very laid back crew. They all enjoy working there, as the working conditions and the pay are among the best in the country.
Seoul campus has a slightly smaller number of instructors I believe. Seoul campus is the one with the opening this upcoming semester. Same pay as Suwon campus, with Seoul-level expenses. Seoul crew isn't as tight, but still a good crew overall. Hyehwa is obviously a more lively area then the Suwon campus area, but at least the Suwon campus is flat and very accessible. |
