Can anyone give me some advice about switching my visa over to a new job? I'm having trouble understanding the process.

My E2 Visa for my current job. The job ends on the 22nd of July and they're giving me a release letter.

My my new job on the 22nd of August

Do I have to apply for a D10 visa in the meantime? Do I need to return to Canada to get my paperwork again?

Thanks for the help and advice. [/list]

If you are released (and have a Letter of Release (LOR)) from your employer and a new contract from the new employer then just go to immigration and transfer your status of sojourn to the new employer.

You should do that within the first 14 days after termination from the first employer.

If you do not get the LOR then China is an option. Changing employers in Korea without the LOR isn't going to happen.
