I have a D-8-4 (startup business) visa which expires in Oct. 2016. I need to apply for an ID for the building where my office is, but they can only give me an ID for as long as my visa is good for, and they need a new FBI CRC each time to renew the ID (took 5 months for the last one).
Anyway, one way to solve this issue is to just renew my D-8-4 visa now, or as early as possible.
How long before expiring is it possible to renew a visa? Are there rules on that?
