I work for YBM who covers my key money and gives me a housing allowance, so a lot of communication with my landlord is done through them. They asked me for my pass code and I gave it to them, but my boss said they'd contact me before they come in. I'm moving out of my apartment in about two weeks and just last week they started to show it.
The big issue is that they keep wanting to come in without contacting me. Once I was in the shower and couldn't answer the door, so I heard them outside my bathroom door. I said something to my boss, but they STILL came today without telling me first.
Today they came in and the lady tried to open the window. Who does she think she is?! Touching MY window?! Letting all that dust in?!
OK, that last part was kind of petty, but really. What's going on here? Is this OK? What can I do? |

It looks like they're not bothered about contacting you first. When you're at home lock the door so they can't use the key code to get in. It differs from lock to lock, but there should be a dial/sliding button or something. At least that way when you're home they can't come in and will be forced to contact you to get in.
Not much you can do about it during the day though. You've already asked them to contact you, so either your boss isn't passing on the message, or the landlord doesn't care. |

Ah, well, at least you made through the rental contract without much fuss. Agree with the other poster....just lock from the inside when you're home. Pretty common to have homes shown when you're not there in Korea, though. |
