Why only CNN in the airports in the USA?

Fox News is #1, has been #1 and will probably be #1 for a looong time.

I read the other day that even MSNBC beat CNN in the weekday prime time slot.

Imagine how much less ratings CNN would have if all the airports that have them on either switched them off or turned on another station.

Perhaps it's the perception (real or otherwise) that Fox is conservative while MSNBC is liberal. With CNN you get that "middle ground". I don't buy it for a second!

I'll take almost anything except CNN!

I think you're right. CNN is perceived as the middle ground. I would watch CNN over Fox or MSNBC. I'm not sure how one would objectively determine where a station falls on a political spectrum. My "middle ground" may be your "flaming liberal".

It is also possible CNN simply offers their programming on better terms with airports.

What makes you think airports are subjects of Nielsen ratings?
