I was enrolled in the pension/medical system. Went to the pension office the other day to submit my lump-sum pension refund as I leave Korea this weekend. I will get about 2,000,000, but my current employer still owes another 2,000,000. This is actually the 3rd time I have been to the pension office to get an update about them not paying it. They took my bank information, e-mail, phone number and said eventually they will send me the money when they collect it from the school. They have had a year to collect the money though. The pension office seems to have no power about getting this money. Can I also file a complaint with the labor board? Will I ever get the money?

Pretty sure they have to pay that in or face a stiff penalty including possible jail time. No joke. Can you get back to the employer and push them? Let them know that the pension office is hot on the trail (even if it isn't). Don't think the labour board has anything to do with this type of situation.
