I am currently teaching at a branch of JLS hagwon in Gyeonggi-do. It has been challenging at times, but quite rewarding, because I have dealt with and solved the challenges. The schedule is busy, sometimes very busy. But I can handle it. There haven't been many complaints.
But then suddenly my boss turned round and said that I would be leaving at the end of this month. JLS Head Office has decided that from March onward, they will have Korean teachers only. That can as a surprise to me, but I was only surprised up to a point. From the start, I did notice that I was the only non-Korean in a hagwon with 10 English teachers. While I get on well with these teachers, I did pick up the feeling from management that perhaps they would prefer Koreans only.
What do you think of this? How common is it for hagwons to decide they don't need a native speaker at all? It's only the second time I have heard of it happening.
In any case, I will get another job. Another hagwon has sent me a contract.

There are thousands of hagwons, and each will have its own idiosyncracies. Even different branches of large chains do things a bit differently. If they think they can maintain profitability with only Korean teachers, so be it. For them, it'll be a lot less hastle and a lot less money spent.

You have a new contract, so no harm, no foul. Nice that you navigated the waters and came out unscathed.
