I posted this in the general discussion forum but I figured Id ask on here too. Anyone know what the ASL teaching community is like in Korea? I have my BA in English and a minor in ASL, currently tutoring students over in the states in ASL. Is this an opportunity for better job prospects or is it something of a nonfactor? All the best! |

Non-factor unless you also happen to be fluent in Korean.

And Korean Sign Language. KSL is a different language than ASL. Sign Language interpretation in Korea, therefore, would be between KSL and standard Korean. On the US military bases in Korea, however, there may be jobs teaching ASL in the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. You may have to wait for the federal hiring freeze to be lifted.
If you are interested in learning KSL, feel free to send me a PM. |
