Does anyone here have any information about what happened to the "international" schools that were operating as local hagwons?
I've heard bits and pieces about how immigration cracked down on them, closed them and sent departure notices to the foreign staff. However, these schools are still somehow operating. But are they still offering their international curriculum and accreditation?
And how were the parents and students affected? Were students' transcripts/report cards/diplomas still honored? |

I'm bumping this--not that that has any meaning any more on Dave's but whatever. I'm also interested in this--any links to articles.
I heard that the teachers at BIS Canada had E2 visas and were supposed to have E7. The new gvt. cracked down where the old had let it slide. Apparently it happened around the end of the 2016-7 school year, so the Korean admin kept the kids at school to finish the year--"deskwarming" if you will. That's all I heard from someone who taught kids from that school who were suddenly without an AP teacher. |
