I put my bank card into a Korean ATM at Wooribank and the machine just sucked it up , "poof" gone. So I went into the bank and had to have the head teller take it out of the machine, fortunately it was on a weekday not a weekend.

The machines are marked in Korean, no English, it turned out it wasn't an ATM, but a government tax and payment type of machine. The ATMS were just adjacent to it. Be very careful, especially since some people will only have one bank card, could be a disaster.

You've been in Korea since 2009 and you still can't read enough to distinguish an ATM?
