I noticed something a little ironic last night at a DVD room.

Ok, most of us have heard about guys taking a girl there to make out, or do other things. I would expect that owners don't really like that, but maybe they just turn a blind eye. I am not really sure.

Well, at the one last night near Ǵ, they had quite a wide selection of pornography.

I don't know what else they could expect if a couple goes in there and watches a porn. Do they expect 2 guys or 2 girls to go in there together? Or someone alone? A little expensive. Maybe the guys do a circle jerk or something. I dunno.

What do you think?

It seems like a good business idea. It only takes 15 minutes or so instead of the usual 2 hours that it takes for a regular entertainment movie. So, you could have 6-8 customers going through that same booth all paying 5,000 won.

Oh, yes. I've had DVD room owners get quite annoyed at me for staying the whole time and actually watching whole movies. Seems that's not what they were used to.

I went to a DVD bang that had blankets over the windows and a prominent roll of toilet paper on the armrest. After going to a place with questionable stains all over the cushions, I decided it was time to buy a DVD player and bring my ladyfriends directly to my house.

Go to the one behind the Starbucks in Kangnam, on the fourth floor above the coffee shop. 14000 for two people but it's the best place I've been to so far. Three computers and two playstations in the front in case you have to wait, free coffee and tea, coat rack in each room, and super comfortable.
What DVD bangs are you guys going to??? Not the ones with pink signs out front?

Seems like some of the newer, bigger places are for normal people. Somebody finally caught on.

Some of these new places seem even family oriented. Yes, I have seen ones with a nice big waiting room with computers, TVs, video games. And I've seen families waiting together.

I went to a new one about a month ago.

It was frigging awesome, with flat screen projector TVs and waiting rooms set up like a PC bang, even its own candy bar like at the movies.

this was a problem. a couple of years back all the dvd rooms had blackened windows so nobody could peer in.

New regulations made the dvd bang owners use clear windows now.

So a pink sign means it's a couple's DVD bang? Or shall we say a bang-bang?

Not necessarily but generally
the pink sign
small rooms
only VHS and no DVDs
just one old man running the place,

are all bad signs.

The first time I ever got lucky in Korea was in a DVD room, so they'll always hold a special place in my heart (i.e. loins).
