I've a 20GB i-river, which has about 550MB free. Hell yes, it's been loaded with musical fun.

But. The battery is now running down like something that runs down at speed, needlessly. Is this in relation to the amount of information on the drive, or has it simply perished in the last four months of almost constant use?

If its the latter, how does one go about getting the damn battery changed?

Brian

I was wondering the same thing and was on the verge of buying a 40gb iRiver recently but decided against it since the rechargable battery is not removable.

I would be interested in knowing if battery replacement is to the same standards as the iPod replacement scheme at $275 American a pop if outside of the one year warranty term.
