| I'm working at a small hagwon being the only foreign teacher, and never received a pay slip as my money was put directly into my account, big mistake. So now its the end of my second contract there was no problem in getting my severance last time, but this time after confronting my boss about it, he said that I've never paid any tax that he's paid it for me!! So now he says he's deducting 5% of my salary for the past year which comes close to and maybe over 1.2million, thats a lot of money in my mind, what should I do? I know I was naive and stupid in not getting pay slips but in hindsight thats easy to say, I'd really appreciate any help cos I'm very very irritated!!!! |

Similar thing happened to me. I was also the only foreigner and never got a pay slip. At the end of my contract the director(asshole actually waited till I finished my last class before telling me) told me that he hasn't deducted enough taxes in the last 6months and he's going to deduct it from my severance payment It was around 800 000 won.
I'm getting ready to go to the labor board, but don't know how good my chances are of seeing any of the loot. |

| To verify how much he was paying you just look at your bankbook. |

| I know how much I've been paid each mth, as I've kept a record, but can't say if he's deducted taxes from it as my utilities were deducted each mth too....... |
