I never set a timeline because the jobs here are so interchangeable. You can always find something better. However, I could see myself staying at my current position for 2 years. Then again, if the shit hit the fan, I could see myself leaving tomorrow. No timelines...which gives me greater freedom.

Hit my six-month halfway point this weekend.

Is there such thing as mid-contract crisis? I realize that half my first year has passed by, and I haven't done nearly as many things nor have met nearly as many people as I have wanted, so I'm concentrating on getting those things done.

Another 8 - 9 months and then I'll move somewhere a bit more central.

My job is great, just I'm stuck in an apartment with rice paddies surrounding the complex. Very Happy

Maybe tomorrow. Depends on the outcome of a meeting I will have. I'm keen to move, but I will wait and see what she says to me tomorrow abot the proposition I made about leaving early. Otherwise, February.

Five more months. No problem. It's good.
It felt like hard-going at month four, but that was because I didn't expect classes to open up. I was expecting they'd be bored and I'd be bored, like 'familiarity breeds contempt'. But, to my surprise, it hasn't turned that direction. Instead, it's opened up some more. I've relaxed and opened up with more humour and a deeper respect and like for kids, and that's being reciprocated. The management is good so there's no outside stress.
Soon it'll be September. The peak heat of the Summer has passed, I assume. Cool.
