I was looking into a job, in Bundang, with the Yale school. Any tips out here about this organization? Just a quick check... |

Word has it, they will soon be involved in legal action with Yale University in the United States. Yale doesn't like their name being used by a cheap hogwon. Harvard threatened a Korean hogwon under the same circumstances about a year ago and they changed names. |

Yeah, it is ridiculous that these hagwons name themselves after famous universities.
About Yale I dont know about the Pundang one but Pundang or Bundang is a nice enough area to live. I enjoyed my time there and the connections to Seoul are nice and easy.
Yale in Yeoudo is an evil place and they never, ever pay their employees on time. I have a friend who works there and my Fiance used to work there. I took her over three months to get all the pay that wonjongnom owed her. The owner can however afford to go to room salon on a nightly basis
If you got a good boss and a reasonable schedule all should be good. Try and talk to the other teachers there first. |

Yale in Bundang is just fine. I'm there now and have no problems...heck, I even like it.
Funny, I haven't heard about the lawsuit stuff. |

Yale in Jeju is freakishly religious. (A couple of their former students voiced this opinion to me.) |

Last time I checked, the true Yale was in Connecticut. What is it with all of these schools taking the name of an elite school? Like they really deserve it? That's so arrogant. |

I worked for Yale up near Guri.
The only hagwon so far, to have a lot of hassle getting paid...
I hope the real Yale murder them in the courts. Wake up Koreans, we've had enough of you ripping off all our best stuff for free. You are parasites on our western culture, benefitting on one hand, and stabbing us in the back with the other. |
