so my last school was run by a malicious, petty man, who after he fired me 4 days short of 6 months (so i would have to pay back my plane ticket), then blackmailed me for the other half (isn't it weird how you can be fired, and the school can still refuse to sign your lor, unless you pay for it), then he said he wanted me to leave a deposit for "unpaid bills" and damages etc...
i know that my bills were up to date, and now it's been more than the two months and i still haven't seen any money. does anyone know how to go about getting the money back legally? i mean i know it was illegal of him to take the "deposit" the way he did, but who do i talk to about this? the labour board? |

I think I read there's a 3 month limit to file a grievance with the labour board.
Topics like this have apparently been done to death long before you and I started posting here so I'm thinking the veterans tend to stay away from them. Did you check out the FAQ section? Tons of info for a situation like yours. Good luck! Hope you nail that greedy bar-stud! |
