How far would you be willing to go to get even?
Almost everyone has had an experience of getting burned, whether it was a plane ticket, bonus, overtime, etc.
I had an experience with a previous employer where they didn't pay for all of my health insurance while I was working for them. After I started working at another hagwon they(Korean healthcare) claimed that I owed them money. So I did a bit of investigating and found out what was really going on and who was responsible. In order to deal with the problem I got a Korean friend of mine to put the squeeze on them. They produced the cash pretty quick, surprisingly.
Has anybody else had an experience where they applied some pressure on their current or former boss to solve a problem? |

I like to apply pressure until either they tap out, or I hear cartilage snap. |

Cartilage doesn't snap, it kinda squishes. At least, that's what my wonjangnim's cartilage does under pressure. |

Nice!
That reminds me of a Kurt Angle t-shirt.

Easy. I never forget their school name, location, or their own personal names. And I tell anyone interested. |

It helps to have an angry, scary husband who is big and tall. That is how I have gotten paid (last pay day). I didn't get my bonus, but then again I knew I wasn't going to get it, so they didn't get their year or notice out of me. And finally, the Korea nightmares have stopped after almost 3 months back in America. |

why are some hagwon owners so incredibly slimey? my last boss was slimey and petty and vindictive (i think he had a tiny *beep* and was making up for it by being a total jerk). |

Whenever my contract is about to run out, I leave resumes at all the other English schools in the neighborhood.
So far, I haven't succeeded in getting a job right across the street, but I may someday. |

I did, and it really made some people mad. |
