Wondering if anyone has knowledge of whether or not recruiters basically "conspire" (for lack of a better word) with other recruiters and particularly pass information about esl teachers to other agencies? This would be either for full time E - 2 placement, part time work placement or anything in between. In simple, if and when a relationship between a recruiter and teacher goes bad do they communicate with other recruiters and try to 'black-list' the teacher or anything similar? Anyone have either direct knowledge on that or know offhand?
(A second question is, if and when a relationship turns a bit sour between a teacher and them are they ever known to take any nasty actions against a teacher in other ways such as making reports to immigration, etc?) |

Even if they did talk, you are still a dollar sign to them.
If they place you with a school, they get money.
End of story. |

Will take the lack of responses as a good sign ...
Recently had some business with a recruiter for a little while and although neither side has done anything extraordinary or awful, very tired of them on the whole and it would be best for both parties to just end all business, am thinking about getting into something entirely different anyways. The problem is they are relentless in their games, could see how they'd do any little thing to get an advantage over the very people they are supposed to be doing business with (teachers). Like many other business people in Korea they come across as the true victims in any scenario, could see how they would think even money just isn't enough. It's clear they will skim an extra 10,000 won any way they can and then blatantly cover it up. They fib so much they even lie when lying isn't necessary. It's easy to fathom they would do anything to take personal information and use it against someone. Anyways no one having reported directly to the question on that matter (if recruiters either work directly with one another or report to government officials behind teachers' backs) is perhaps a good sign. |
