Please let this be the thread where people can post advice and directions on where to find health clubs that play more than one CD over and over.
As for me, I'm drawing a complete...blank. |

Has anyone noticed Koreans on the treadmill, and how they always have that exxagerrated, marching, arm action, its almost comical. Maybe because they've all been in the army, I dunno. But it looks stupid. |

i'm no expert, but Worldcup Spoland has yet to annoy me. in fact, there are a couple of hip and funky female instructors there that play pretty good stuff.
it's possible though that my limited hours a week, working out, are not sufficient time to catch a lot of repetition.
edit: wacky font.

simple solution to this problem. Get your own mp3 player and tune the stuff out. I got a Rio Cali 256mb internal chip and added another 128mb chip. The Rio is designed for working out, yeah it will set you back around US $150 but its worth it to avoid Korean pop. |

yeah, but most gyms play the music so loud that even if you have your own diskman/ipod/whatever you still have to listen to their music... |

What kind of adjustments make that Mp3 player suited to lifting?
I think the only thing that would work is to have the mp3 player built into a set of heavy duty headphones that don't fall off your head when the plyometrics begin. |

Do what I do...I tell the front desk to turn the stupid music down! It's annoying! Or I just turn it down myself. The same with playing the same music over and over...tell them to change the CD! |

Man, this is one of the things that annoyed me to no end when I was working out regularly at the clubs. My girlfriend also hates it and she's Korean! Why or why can't we exercise in peace and wear headphones instead?
Raining men! Oh yeah! pump! pump! Halluelujah it's raining men! |

i went into the gym once in Tokyo and saw all these old ladies bouncing up and down in their arobics class. The music playing was some gangsta rap going on about anal rape and using the word that describes a female dog.
Went into Burger King yesterday and it was the the same kind of music playing and no one seemed to mind. Made me a nervous wreck, though and I left quickly.
None of them had a clue what they were listening to. |
