Hi there,
I'm looking for a place to go this Saturday that is open late and let's GI's in. I've heard Stopper's is no longer the place to go? Any help would be awesome.
Thanks,

Sorry, Rowdie - I don't have a lot of time on this one . . .
What area of Seoul? Do you mean Itaewon (plenty of places there), Hong-dae area (in which case Stompers branch there used to be a don't ask, don't tell military non-curfew place), or somewhere else?
I'm off for An-myun do in a few hours, but reply here if you can . . .
Regards,
Glen |

The one and only time I went to Stompers in Hongdae there was a couple of GIs in front of us. They let them in after they gave them a talkiing to asking them not to cause any trouble.
I have really short hair and have wandered into several Hip Hop places in Hongdae (not my style went there by accident). Never had any problems getting in. Just walk in with only one or two of you at a time and have a smile on your face. A ball cap might be a good idea too if you have one of the typical haircuts. Doormen are cautious of any group of 5-8 men going into a club and will try to find a reason not to let them in. Walk in behind a pack of girls even. Or, even pay the cover for one of them to allow them to escort you in there as you are with them (might be a good pick up line too). If they ask, tell them you just got to Korea a week ago and do not have your government ID yet. |
