For those of you who don't know, I work at an all-girls high school. One of the absolute rules is: NO BOYS!

Well, today, some boy from a local high school snuck out from his school during lunch and attempted to sneak a cake and flowers in to his girlfriend on the 3rd floor of our high school.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the guy got caught, brought into the teachers' office, and grilled by some of the ajosshis here. He ended up in the principal's office. I'm sure his school got called, and I am told his parents will get a call too.

There was a car left running in the parking lot, which an older friend of his, who was also here, may have been driving.

Am dying to learn more. I wonder if the girl would view this as romantic, or a massive embarrasment!

I would think she'd like it. I've come to the conclusion that Korean women have no stalker radar. Women don't want flowers. They want pagers and cell phones from their BF.

I've had two Korean women tell me that when they're dating they actually want their boyfriends to call them 5-6 times a day. To them it says "I care". In North America that would freak out most women. It wouldn't say "I care" it would say "I don't need a GF, I really need a hobby."

Sometimes I wonder if this is the secret we often miss.

Totally different than the women back home.

Funny Derrek!
Different cultures and so the stalking and 5/6 phone calls a day seems to be normal in korea. I'm at a girls college....sort of....meaning 2 classes a day 5 times a week with only 35 women in each class..... and the women here don't like the 5/6 phone calls a day!! They tell me that it's a sign of bad things to come if they marry the guy! Good for them I say! They are learning something at least!
5/6 calls means I want to control you and your future.
Guys do enter the grounds but are quickly spoted and told to leave! What's real funny are the womens dorm's!
Two male teachers here and of course we are allowed to go into the womens dorms and from time to time we see other males sneaking around! And the girls all dummy up when we ask "what's going on?!?!"
Same tricks in the U.S.!

I should give more information.... 5 or 6 is definately a bit much, but from what I know, the girls here seem to enjoy getting a call or text at least once or twice a day.

Back home, I felt like I had to give the girl a day or two of space here and there.

But I'm not pretending to be an expert on American dating culture. hahaha! Smile

Koreans should try to understand that westerners go about things differently. No call after 2 days simply means, I'm giving you space. To them its equivalent to a total break-up.

I found out who it was. She's probably one of the cutest girls in school, so I'm not surprised. She looks a lot like the Japanese model Yuko Ogura. Not the brightest, though (haha).

I heard that she and her boyfriend had broken up, so he was apparently trying to win her back.

She wasn't impressed, and I bet he's broken-hearted.

Nice try, though!

Rolling Eyes

You must be the most sexually depraved man alive, D. Just remember that McDonald's burgers don't taste as good if you take em home frozen and cook em on your grill. It's true.
