A fresh Newbie here Laughing

I've spent the past week scrolling all over this site looking for information about Chuncheon - not too much out there (in the forums or on the job board). I was lucky enough to visit Korea on a quick vacation earlier this month and was quite taken with the city (it helps my fella lives there)

I'm a little hesitant working in the same small school as my boyfriend, in case issues come up in either the home or school and we can't leave them alone while teaching or relaxing at home. Why set up the possibility of that friction in the already fun and unreliable world of relationships? So... if possible I would like to find a decent Hawgan or private lessons opportunity in the lovely Chuncheon.

I've seen plenty of blacklists on this site for schools and agents (very good to know) but is there any source for a "whitelist" the "thumbs up" schools or trusty agents that treat you well???

I greatly appreciate any advice you'll have to offer! It's a bit daunting to begin the task of finding a good school, good contract, etc.

Cheers!
Dre

Should you choose to come to the 'Lake City', there are several decent hagwons here. I'm a bit out of that loop, teaching at a uni here, but I hear that SDA runs a good program, although they might require some ' spiritual devotion' time (don't know how you feel about that).. But if your honey is here, the quickest way to hook up with a job is to get yourself down to the Hard Rock Bar, behind Kangwon National University (just tell the taxi-driver 'Kang-de-he-mun'), and there you will find on a Saturday night a decent cross-section of all the ESL teachers in Chunchon (it's a smallish city). Somebody there is certain to hook you up with more than one possible gig. Good luck with your search. Cheers.
