Hrm... If you have plans to change your main graphics card, then ATi's series of All-In-Wonders are supposed to be quite good.
TV Tuner, capture, and quality 3D performance.
http://www.ati.com for more info.

I think most capture cards use the BT878 chipset....that makes them all similar. I guess you just need one with RCA plugs and you are set. |

no, you are looking for a card that has a video input. |

I already have my card installed..
I just checked it.. it has a video in and a video out..
so I guess I had it all along... DAMN.. I thought a video capture card was something different.. ohh well.. guess my card came with it..
then again for the price I paid like 350.000 for my graphic card should be included.. |

I think Ulead, Video Vegas, or even Windows Movie Maker (which should be installed if you're running XP) should the trick. |

look online for the manual for your video card. i'm sure you can find it. capturing video is not as easy as it may seem, you need special software and the know-how to use it.
just read up a little online and you are good to go. |

Get pinnacle studio 8. It's very easy to use and the results are great. If you need the software, PM me and I will see what I can do.
Vegas video is good, movie maker is ok and ulead is difficult, IMHO. I have them all, so let me know if I can help. |

The manual won't really help...at least not as much as the net. The manual will tell you what kind of cable goes where into the card, but it will be naught on a tutorial for video capture. The one thing it wil tell you is the chipset for the capture area of the card.
Probably compro Personal Cinema.... |

I have Photoshop LE you can have a copy of. It's not the best, but it does the trick. Also have another easier program that I can't remember the name of, that's really simple.
She only had a VHS recorder, eh???? Darn.... gotta find the girls with the mini-DV. |
