I've seen posts from people who had offers to Berlitz and asked if it was any good.
Well, I just an e-mail from a friend who was offered a job, and this is what he said in his email:

Ridiculous shit in it like they can ask you to stay at the school anytime between 6:30 am and 9 pm as long as you are teaching at least 1 class in the morning and 1 in the evening, in case someone comes in and wants a lesson. The pay is really low as well, plus no severance at the end of 1 year teaching unless you sign on for a 2nd year. They can fire you anytime they want for no specific reason. I could go on and on but no ? in my mind, that it is a totally company based contract with absolutely no thought given to the teacher. |
Suffice it to say, he won't be taking the job, and anyone with half a brain would stay away as well.
What gets me is why people accept jobs with these conditions in the first place. |
