I am just starting to apply to jobs and most places just want your resume and a photo. Is it normal for them to want a copy of your picture page from your passport? What for? I don't really like the idea of sending this to them. Can they do anything with that info?
Thanks! |

I think it's that they want proof that you're from an English speaking country, first of all, and then that you actually have a passport and can travel when they need you. |

They want to see if you are going to fit their bill as being someone parents will like, and if they can use as an advertisment.
If you are non-white looking, you might not get the job.
With that said, don't waste your time by not sending the photo. People have come all the way to Korea, only to find their boss wouldn't let them work, and basically said, "see ya" because of their skin color. |

They can't do anything with just the picture page and it also identifies the fact that you are from a place that would qualify you as being a native speaker. Send them a photocopy, it's no big deal. |
