Hey,
what's there to do in Suwon during the weekend? I've just moved here and would like to get out and meet some people (Korean or non-Korean...I don't care). Any recommendations? |

Walk along the city walls and imagine the days of yore.
Otherwise come to Seoul and hang out on weekends. |

If you're talking about bars, I go to Ingge dong or Namun. They've been really dead lately. Apparently everyone goes to Youngtong dong now.
You might as well go into Seoul. |

if u are near the university, havanas is pretty chic. Us international students mostly spend our time at havanas or harleys, both on the main drag near ajou university. Maybe 40 or so Intl' exchange students from all parts of the world are staying at Ajou. I'm from Canada myself.

If you are near Kyoung Hee University in Yongtong. They have free Korean lessons 2:30pm on Saturdays. Run by some very nice ladies,
Study Korean for an hour and a half, usually one on one, and then have an English discussion about a newspaper article for a while, |

I have no idea where those universities are...but I'll look them up on a map. I heard about the free Korean lessons and think I might check them out. The principal and vice-principal at myt elementary school get incredibly happy when I try to speak Korean. As far as where I'm located in Suwon....uh....I'm about a 5 minute walk away from the bus terminal/e-mart. All I know so far is my area, Suwon Station (downtown?) and around my school. |

You're a 10 -12 minute bus ride (700won) from Kyoung Hee University,
Bus Numbers 5 & 7 go there,
or a nice flat 25-30 minute bike ride,
I'll PM you the contact details of the ladies running it, |

Go and watch Suwon Samsung Bluewings... if you're a football (soccer) fan, that is.
