got a friend of mine who was contacted by this school. Anybody got any info on them good or bad I can pass on to her?
I told her Jeonju was kind of in the sticks, a smallish city etc but that was based on 2 short visits there
thanks in advance |

I loved Jeonju, not that small at all -- in fact a little big for me at first, coming from small town Canada. I believe they are even opening a Starbucks and an Outback Steakhouse there, not that either of those things are necessarily good points! They have a great film festival there and the best food in Korea (ask any Korean -- it's not just my opinion). Chonbuk National University is an excellent university (well, for a non-Seoul university, that is) and very professional. Hopefully someone who taught at the Language centre can tell you more specifically if it was a good experience. But don't rule out Jeonju based on the city itself. |

Jeonju University offers, from what I've heard, a good package to it's teachers who are hired as 'Visiting Professors.'
Otherwise, I have heard that there are 2 cities you want to live in:
1. Daegu
2. Jeonju
Never been to either - just hearsay.
Good luck! |
