Does anyone know a good program (preferably free) that will allow me to rip streaming audio from RealPlayer?
I want to save the new BBC production of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio plays that start today. If you are interested in listening in, you can at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/
Thanks,

Bunnymonster, when I get the wav files shrunk down into mp3s I'll let you know. It will be Friday at the earliest after they do the Thurs. night repeat.

I do it lo-tech. I run a mic cable from the earphone jack to the mic jack. I use goldwave to record the audio. You have to do it all in real time, takes an hour to record an hour show, but there's no software to install or weird drivers to configure. I used to do this all the time for NPR's This American Life. Since it was all spoken word, you can make them into very low quality MP3 files and throw several hours on a CD or even a cheapo 64MB MP3 player. It's a great thing to take along on a long plane ride.
Odds are the new HHGTG will show up on some popular bit.torrent site too. |

All2Wav worked just great for me. You have to dabble a bit with the Windows settings for recording, but no worries. It made a perfect wav copy for me.
I've got the file in mp3 if you are still interested bunnymonster, but it will be at least 10 megs. Can you receive such large files?
