So tell me, do they let you bring in a CD and install something on their computers at a PC Bang? I'm specifically thinking of Half-Life 2 and The Matrix Online, once they come out. I've got my nice little laptop here, but it just ain't powerful enough to run them, and I'm certainly willing to spend the extra dollars on top of buying (and subscribing, in the case of MXO) to have them shipped over ASAP. And there wouldn't be any compatibility problems with that, right?

And a follow-up question: Matrix Online doesn't actually launch in this neck of the woods at the same time as in does back home. But I've heard that I could still connect to a North American server from over here and play it anyways. Anybody know if this is true? And if the distance would affect my (or anybody else's) ping enough to make it not even worth trying?

yes the distance would make a difference... but it also depends on how fast your internet connection is

Thanks guys, it's good to hear. I don't think the connection speed should be too much of a problem, being as it'll be on a PC bang computer. But what about my first question: does anybody know if the PC bang will let me install a game on one of their computers?

Wouldn't worry about it... I play Battlefield Vietnam in the PC room. Faster connection than here.
