Koreans seem to really enjoy Europe. Yesterday I went to a special 1 euro store (a dollar mart) and these old Korean azummas were buying everything in sight, talking really loud, pushing in front of people, and the German people (yes, in Germany now) were really polite to them. I was in line last week at the Uffizi and a group of koreans brought all their bags and back packs. Now if you have ever been to the Uffizi, you know they do not put up with &/&/% from anyone. And so this really pretty twenty something Korean girl walks inside, buys 13 tickets, while all her friends were waiting outside. Well in order to enter you must put your bag on the xray machine. Well here they all come, and the security guy freaks out! Then the cute girl proceeds to hold up the tickets, already bought (her strategy). Well it didnt work! I stood there watching as the ticket lady proceeded to refund the money, and watch the Koreans leave!
well, 5 more weeks of vacation, time is too fast! |

I dont get it.. why is it that wrong if someone was waiting for hours to buy the tickets for everyone? what you saying is.. is that everyone needs to wait in line in order to be allowed in?
yeah I went o the Uffizi 5 years ago.. really is amazing!
I waited about 1 hour I think..
I heard you can buy your tickets earlier in the day at the window or something and then you come back in the afternoon or the next day at the time they tell you.. and you dont have to wait in line..
yeah about the Ajumas,. well its all about the UGLY KOREANS isnt it!

Hey Tiger beer, how was your trip?
David is huge, our guide said 16 feet, but others say 14, but it is huge!
There is so much controversy over it, our guide said he has just killed Goliath, and he has a look of victory, others say he is getting ready to slay Goliath and that is why his weiner is so small and his veins are sticking out. Really interesting, the block of marble he used was actually a reject, really weathered, and he had problems convincing his supporters that he could actually make something out of it!
Come down to texas street sometime, if you want something from europe tell me! I am in Germany now, loading up my duffel bag with a bunch of stuff, these bags of saurcraut is only like 35 cents, and I got a bunch of cous cous, and spices from an arab shop here. cheers! |

My trip was good.. Honolulu was the very best! Also drove around Oregon, Nevada, and Wash DC. Honolulu was the most memorable.. although Oregon always is as well.
Texas Street and Busan could be a possibility soon.. I'm a camp for 2 more weeks.. then another 2 weeks off before the semester starts! |

i just got out of germany. in my last 6 months, my crazy ex-girlfriend: "it is always difficult to talk to you, because I loved you" and coworker basically forced me to leave. we were "partners" which in german means: "do you mind if i sleep with another man whenever your back is turned?" ...oh yeah, she is a scientologist (i always forget that part)...so the new "man" is upset because we had a couple of goodbye sleep overs... i tried to confront him a couple of times but mainly he shouted a lot at me and his english consisted mainly of: "i don't want to confront you" and swearing....
what is the point?
koreans in germany, oh yeah!!!
guess what? a lot of them run covenience stores!!! how uncharacteristic...
another owned an asian food market, finally, i could get baek sae ju!!
there were a bunch of korean restaurants, 3 in Duesseldorf... but they catered mainly to koreans...
finally, hot, hot, hot korean girls who played classical music... of course they were too young for me... but a hot girl is a hot girl... i also saw them often near the HAUPTBANHOF scurrying to their schools or whatever they do with their instruments...
so koreans in germany:
1) convenience stores
2) restaurants that catered to themselves
3) hot, hot, hot classical music girls...
ah, duesseldorf, if you enjoy random germans screaming at you:
YOU ARE IN GERMANY NOW, YOU MUST SPEAK GERMAN (and this is in the main post office, in duesseldorf. do you think foreigners might use it often?)
COME TO GERMANY

I was in France and Italy three weeks ago, and me and my buddy played "spot the Koreans" in four or five cities because he knew I was moving here (just spent my first day in the Seoul area).
In Rome there is a famous stone carving of a sun god (forget what its called) and people line up, put their hands in its mouth, and get their photo taken. My buddy was in line with three Korea girls who asked him to take their photo. After he did one of them asked if he would put his fist in her mouth so her friend could take a photo, then she opened up, and sure enough his whole fist fit in her mouth. A golden opportunity screwed up my the tour group nature of their trip. I noticed Koreans either travelled in large groups, or in mother-daughter pairs.
Here's something I noticed: if there is a hill that has to be walked up, Koreans and Japanese are going to find a bus to take them to the top. Stop, pose, photo, back on the bus to next site.
I went to Uffizi, the Louvre, the Colliseum, etc. etc. and never noticed Koreans being pushy, unlike the Spaniards, who seem to relish digging into the back of the person in front of them with a forearm and giving a good shove. |
