The over 39 group in Gangneung City will be meeting Sunday, October 24th instead of the 2nd Sunday of the month as there is a KOTESOL conference that weekend that many of us will be attending. We can't have it the 3rd weekend as that conflicts with the Seoul over 40 group.

We have members from Donghae, Wonju, and Taebek who attend the gatherings.

You didn't include Chuncheon in your invitation. 'I won't join a club to which I've been invited as a member.' (Groucho Marx, circa 1939). Is the Lake City no longer part of Gangwon Province? As for the over 39-thing; frankly, my dear, I'm not that lonely. Have fun without me.

I understand that you old-timers want to have some time to yourself--I married a woman 8 years my senior and am not sure whether age dictates the possibilities for companionship, but I suppose every club must have it's exclusions (like Costco Evil or Very Mad

). Anyway, have fun, guys!

So, if there are any other English speaking, non- smoking, non-drinking bicultural married couples between the ages of 26-34 with at least one child, living in North-eastern Gangwon province, contact me and we'll start our own club! Laughing

Believe me, at over 39 we are certainly not lonely. It is just we have diifferent issuesa then people younger. Not that i'm saying going out drinking or partying is bad, gbut lots of us have children back home and we talk about those things. I have plenty of friends in their 20's. and we have great times together, but I am not going to discuss my grandchildren with them.There are hiking clubs, and biking clubs. Cooking and book clubs. So we have an over 39 yr old club. That is out focus.
And I think it is a great idea for a club for people who have mixed marriages. Go for it, it will be wonderful!!!
