It's my wifes birthday on Wednesday and I've decided to buy her an MP3 player, but don't really know anything about them. Something simple and probably around 256mb is sufficient - if possible the ability to add memory in the future would be nice.

Any and all advice is welcome.

Take a look at some iRiver flash players. IMHO, they are top notch.

Get an iPod for a similar price only 10GB rather than 256MB.

I got a her some no-name brand. But the sound and everything is great. I really wanted to get an iriver, but the price was way out of my budget. Thanks for the tips everyone.
