Ok, just got a new Yepp(Yp-T7) MP3 player...and I am trying to copy songs from my CD's to the MP3 player...possible? I keep getting a message in Korean, and it's not letting me.
Also, I figured out how to change the display to English...but the software is all in Korean, how can I get the English software?
Also, what are the best sites for downloading songs? |

How new is the CD? I read on Yahoo News today that they are releasing CDs which prevent conversion to MP3 (well thats what they say, I'd bet good money it'll be hacked pretty quickly). I doubt its that, but what mp3 ripping software are you using?
As for downloading, I can reccommend torrentspy.org torrentreactor.net
and I like Kazaa Lite Ressurected (be SURE to get Lite, the regular one is rife with spyware). I've heard good things about E-Donkey too but I've never used it so I cant comment.

They've been doing it for more than a year now and it got hacked probably the same day. |

You can, most likely, get English software from their site online. Go there and download it.
PLEASE don't use kazaa lite, unless you want your activities logged and eventually given to the RIAA. Edonkey is okay but, it is limited. For a very good multi-system program, get Shareaza. It can access files from eDonkey, Pruna, 123, Gnutella, and a bunch of others. It can also handle torrents and combine p2p and torrents sources.
I'd say that most hardcore downloaders are using Limewire and Exeem these days since they give the fastest downloads. You could also try finding some torrent sites (lots are shutting down now but, if you can find some good ones, they usually give the fastest downloads).
I hope this helps! |

I'm not so sure about English software, as Samsung portable audio isn't avaliable overseas. I checked the site and couldn't find any English software.
There is a firmware upgrade though...
Trying to copy songs from audio CDs or MP3 CDs? If you are trying to just copy straight to the MP3 player from an audio CD, that ain't gonna work. You will have to rip the CDs first...that is, convert them to MP3 format. |

The funniest hack was the kid who figured out how to defeat the SONY copy protection back in 2002. SONY spends thousands and boasts about how great this new copy protection is, then some kid uses a black magic marker and figures out how to get around it.

Thanks for the advice.
I tried Limewire, but it was super slow. Have been using WinMX and it's working out just fine.
I just don't understand how to convert my CD's to MP3's exactly....can anyone enlighten me? |

I like this one, but it's just one of many programs that would do what you ask (among other things):
http://www.musicmatch.com/
If you just want a CD ripper only, I suggest this one-
