I'm using the bit tornado client. Can anyone tell me why occasionally the indicator light stays yellow and i get lousy download rates? I've been downloading a movie that has many seeders and leechers, but it's been going really slow. During the same time I downloaded a T.V. show (also with lots of seeders and leechers) episode with much faster rates.

From what I've been able to gather from reading online, the yellow indicator shows that I'm behind a firewall or something. But if I have two torrents downloading concurrently, one green and one yellow, that doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

Here's a screen shot, if that'll be of any help.

If the tracker is down, I think you get yellow too. Just a guess but your current torrent has enough information to link you up to previously discovered seeders but if the tracker itself is down it can't credit you for what you've uploaded. At the heart of the bit torrent system is a tracker that governs how much and how fast you're allowed to download. More you've uploaded, more the tracker allows you download.

Better or worse than Bit Torrent? Or just upgraded features? Usually I download on avg of 100 kps

Just my 2 cents: I like Azureus.

Azureus seems to be the program of choice.

I had BitTornado on my computer before I'd heard of Azureus, so now I'm too lazy to change programs.

BitTornado has a couple of added features from the last version of BitTorrent I used. You can see how many people you're connected to, control your upload and download speed.

I'm not sure what features Azureus might have, other than an odd name. Laughing

multiple torrents running in one window rather than multiple windows. and a couple of other things that i don't really know. Azureus is a great app. I suggest you switch

I don't know if it makes a difference but I use the Bit Torrent Plug-in which is part of the new e-donkey version. It's going great.

Ooh...I like the idea of just having one window. It sort of annoys me when I have three or four windows running at the same time.

I might have to switch one of these days.

I'm maxing out at about 20 KiB/s according to my torrent screen. I've got bit torrent 3.4.2. How do you get it faster? I don't mind it taking a few hours, but it's saying 30 hours to download 3 episodes of a tv show. That just seems a bit excessive for just over 1 GB of data.

Any ideas? Should I switch to that Azureus program? Or what?

Thanks.

OK, so I've downloaded Torrent Storm. Now what? Where can I look for files? It seems I can only browse/download files on my own computer. I'm lost. Toss me a bone here.

it works automatically.. you need to go to www.suprnova.org

then save it in the downloader file under torrent storm..
then open up up the program, un then get the file and load it in.. and start transfer..
