...and it went incredibly well. It was a major event involving government officials and about 100 visiting principals and public school teachers. The entire purpose was to evaluate and examine the English program at my Public School because we have 3 foreign teachers here. It was definitely strange teaching a class with 50 people watching, taking pictures, and being filmed. My co-teacher and I have incredible chemistry tho and the lesson went very very smoothly so everyone was very impressed. I've never received so many compliments before.
get this, the head teacher at my Public Elementary School now wants me to teach her son private English conversation. She doesn't speak English so instead of talking to me, she talked to the hagwon director who subcontracts me. He thinks that I can teach her son and he'll only pay me the overtime...I've told him to stuff it (respectfully).
Has anyone else had their Public School inspection? |

Mine got cancelled... or so they tell me. Some official looking person came in with a video camera and taped a lesson a few weeks ago. Never got a clear answer as to why though. |

I had a couple of people poke their heads into my class last week, but they were inspecting the whole school, not the English program. |
