|
|
So I am taking off on Vacation in December back to Canada. Plan to head out there at the end of December, then maybe fly out to the Philipines for a few weeks in Feburary, before settling back into my job for one more year here.
Now, since when Im traveling I am still under my original E2 Visa, which doesnt expire until end of Feburary, can I get my E2 done in Canada or the Philipines before my old VISA expires if it is for the same job? Or do I have to fly out AGAIN once this is done, and do a VISA run? Can I just extend the VISA from inside Korea?
Any help with this question would be appreciated, thanx.

Same school, paperwork filed at your local immigration office and your ARC is endorsed for the next year. No visa runs, just an extension, though you will have to purchase a new single or multiple entry visa. |

| Yes. Also, be careful about coming back to Korea too close to your ARC expiraton date. I'm not sure what the exact time frame is, but if you try to get back into the country with, say, only a week left on your ARC, they may not let you in, even if you tell them that you have a new contract with your school and you plan to extend. To be safe, come back with at least two weeks left, and then go to immigration and get an extension for the next year. |
