Every so often, when surfing the net, it will take me to itop's Korean website, and a red computer with devil horns on it pops up....what is this?? Anyone experience this, and how to get rid of it? I am at my work computer at school..... |

It's not your PC so probably there is little you can do. If it was yours I'd say go to the 'Clean Computer' thread on this board and start installing security software and running it. Then maintain the security software by updating and running regularly. |

I'd say, disregard whose computer it actually is and clean in up. If you are using the computer for email or if you have ever accessed online banking or used your credit card on it, especially, you should do this for your own security. You could always do a quick install, clean up the system and then uninstall everything. who would be the wiser?
I have to say though, every computer that I have ever used in a Korean workplace has been a cesspool of poor security. I am always very careful about what I do on a work computer here. |

Thanks for the tip, however, I installed hijacker recover, as above, and when I try to open it, it says that its performed an illegal op, shut down etc...What can I do to deal with this? I do use my comp for banking etc, and now I am getting concerned. |
