A friend has a file on his palmpilot, which he says is in .dba format, and he wants to send it to me on my computer. There's gotta be an easy way to do this, but he doesn't seem to know how- help? |

That's a Microsoft Access database file. Have you got Access? If not, might not be worth the bother.
I guess neither of you have bluetooth do you
Can't he simply bring the gear he uses to connect his palmpilot to his own computer round to your place and transfer the file?
If he has a flash memory card and you have a device that reads it...
Clutching at straws here as I have no info about your system or whether this friend has his own pc... |

He's got his own PC, and I've got access. that was my first thought too, and it should work, but he said no. Shoul just badger him into trying I suppose.
I don't have bluetooth, but he might |

Well you both need it. If you've both got it you can 'beam' the file between devices.
Seems like the onus is on your friend though. Why not put it on a floppy or a CD? |
