I'm not sure if this is the place to post, but here goes....

A few days ago my wife went to the store and when she came out she was followed all the way home by a stray dog. It looked really dirty and smelled really bad, like it had been outside for a week. We checked and there was no tag. It's really friendly and doesn't bark so it looks like it was recently abandoned. What probably happened was the puppy got too big and the person couldn't handle owning a big dog so he/she just abandoned it.

We dropped by the nearest vet to see if he had seen the dog before. He told us that in our neighborhood, dogs and cats are abandoned all the time and that we shouldn't get our hopes up looking for the owner. We've asked around the neighborhood as well but nobody seems to know the owner.

The dog is about 3-4 months old, so he's still a pup, but he's quite big. I've been taking it for walks every day so he doesn't poop in the house. He's got a great disposition, really friendly, never barks.

However, he is a big dog, so I think it'll be hard to find a good home for him. Our place is too small, with no yard or anything. And if you know labs, you know that they're very playful and rambunctious.

Anyway, I'm posting here wondering if any kind person might want a nice dog. PM me if you're interested.

Yes, good luck! I wish I could take him too. If you need help finding him a home, you may want to try getting in touch with Arumpoom (www.withanimal.net) or the Korea Animal Protection Society (www.koreananimals.org). There's also a site with links to various animal shelters -- the address is www.koreananimal.net.

Sibidi, the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum is where this belongs, I think. You might start a thread there as well.

Fortunately, (unfortunately?), I've already got both hands full taking care of two abandoned mutts at the moment.
See?

Were I not juggling them and business projects, year-end projects, home-improvement projects, visa-renewal projects.... I'd be inclined to help out. I hope the eye will provide a home for the pup.

I don't know if this is symptomatic of a larger trend, but I've been seeing a lot of homeless dogs and cats around my area lately. The cats look feral and diseased, but the dogs I'm seeing appear to have been someone's pets until recently. Prized and pricey breeds who look like they wouldn't know how to survive on the streets, along with the usual trash-eating mongrels.
