I just got my passport back from the Korean Consulate in Vancouver and they did place in it an E2 Visa...however the expiry date is in February 2005! Maybe I am confused, but shouldn't the visa be for one year??

if you look closely, the stamp will specify a '1 year' visa.
you have 3 months to apply for alien registration at the immigration department.(Feb.2005) |

It'll expire if you don't enter Korea and get it "activated" by February 2005. Once you enter Korea then your one year will begin. |
