skunk hell, hongdae, saturday the 27th of november.
it was good. saw five bands, breathed in a whole lot of secondhand smoke, met some new pals, resisted the urge to turn up the mosh (no health insurance).
the scene here is small folks but there's shows every friday and saturday. if you like punk or HC come on out.
13 STEPS were good HC along the lines of terror or count me out. they were fun. SAMCHUNG were more metallic, like integrity or strain. RUX were sorta oi-ish, like rancid or something. some other band played whose name will be caught by the swear filter. "F*CKERS EVERYWHERE" but they were really noisy and lame, like discharge. if you like discharge, you'll like them...
and some pop punk band played too, they sounded a lot like early SNUFF but i didn't catch their name.
it was a show i would have walked out on back home... but after going to a hardcore show almost every weekend since 1987 and then being away from it for 11 months... withdrawal changed my standards a little.
13 steps
rux

pm, shmee-em. i'll share it with the whole board. even the republicans.
yeah, it's on a hill, just off that main street where all those nightclubs are.
i'd get off at sangsu station and walk up, it takes about 5 minutes. |
