I'm kind of lost as regards finding baby clothes here in Seoul. I know that there are a few moms and dads on this forum and was just wondering if you could give me some ideas. I've been to the towers in Dongdemun, but they didn't seem to have much of a selection and most of the clothes are for older kids. The baby will be here in two weeks all going well, and I've gotten almost everything, but would like to look for a few more things, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks guys!

Hi Kelly, hope everything is okay.
I regret some of the things I said earlier in another thread, it was just a gut reaction. After reading more about your situation I'm more understanding of you, and what you are going through.

Baby clothes can either be outrageously priced or dirt cheap depending on where you shop. Avoid the big department stores, UNLESS they have a sale and then you can get some reasonably priced clothes. Shop in the apartment shopping complexes, especially the government workers apartments where things are subsidised. The street sales people who set up in apartment areas are also a great place to shop. Remember to ask for discounts as almost all will give you a hefty discount from the advertised price if you are persistent. That goes for all stores in Korea. Shop with a Korean if at all possible.

Sorry I can give you specific locales however I hope these tips help you.

Thanks Fidel, and an update, I got a great job which means I'll only be away from the little guy three hours 4 times a week, which is great, and with plenty of vacation time to spend with him too Smile . Well I've gotten almost everything, but there were a few last minute things, like a few extra sleepsuits, things like that. We got most of the stuff online, and on the base, but these things I still haven't gotten my hands on and with the xmas mail things won't get here in time, if I order of the net. I think I will try some of those places you mentioned tomorrow and see how that goes, as you said I found the baby clothes in Korea outrageously expensive, but we'll see how it goes....again, thanks!
