I use KT and have never been blocked from any sites.
Sometimes I see people complaining about KT but I always read everything that I enter, never blocked. |

KT does not have unlimited newsgroup usage. They don't block individual messages, but large swaths of groups are simply not carried by them. |

That would make sense. Unlike the web where the content is hosted remotely, every usenet server hosts the full contents of of usenet newsgroups. All the naughty pictures of alt.pictures.sex.bondage would be hosted on KT's own news server. Now, Canada and America have some fairly liberal "common carrier" laws that can and have let an ISP host child porn but I doubt Korean courts take such a liberal, theoretical view. Bondage porn is illegal in Korea. Alt.pictures.sex.bondage is pretty much a tip off what the alt/pictures/sex/bondage/ folder on your server might contain... |

First of all, I didn't know I could access newsgroups using KT at all...I use KT Megapass and if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to access the newsgroups, I'd appreciate it.
as an alternative, I've been using http://www.teranews.com/
They have packages for all kinds of people, from serious downloaders to those people (like me) who just want to browse a few newsgroups from back home. I signed up for their free account (set up fee of $3.95) and then you get 50 Mb of access a day. I use none of that because I just read messages.
In any case, they are uncensored and everything.
Hope that helps.
